This was one of the best presentations I have heard. It was thought provoking, inspiring and extremely challenging. 21st Century learning at its best
Pitsa Binnion Principal: McKinnon SC Thanks for what was one of the most inspirational days I’ve been to in my 24 years of teaching. John B. I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic session. I have come away just bursting at the seams in terms of the possibilities for my Year 12 students. I went home and added more to the podcast that I created in your session ... I had planned to do very little in the holidays but now I know that I’m going to spend much of my time in front of a microphone! Robyn M Professional Development Manager ...the length of the applause following your address was a pretty clear indication of how well your keynote was received, but I just thought I ought to mention that throughout the day almost everyone I spoke to wanted to change the topic and talk about what you had said or done. I think that a keynote is really effective if it sets an agenda for the rest of the conference and there is no doubt yours did. Gary C Director of Curriculum (Middle Years) Hi Andrew, many thanks for your wonderful presentations ... this week. It has been great to hear the buzz from those in the office who attended your session yesterday. You have certainly caused lots of conversations around the nature of schools in the future!!! Wendy M Teaching and Learning Consultant I just wanted to say how privileged I felt to be hear you speak today. In 30 years of teaching your presentation was the most inspiring thing I have ever heard at an education conference. It has sparked ideas amongst our staff about how we can improve the way we deliver our curriculum and the possibilities for using the technologies that are at our disposal. Thank you so much. Russel F Head of Junior School You certainly sparked interest in the staff about podcasts and stuff, the staff room was buzzing at recess. At least 3 people have booked me to show them how to podcast ... One has even bought a microphone on the way home and created their first podcast! ... I look forward to see you again when we book you in future!! Brett B. Professional Learning Leader I wanted to thank you again for yesterday. I left feeling inspired by what you have achieved. It’s even better that you hold these sessions to pass on the ideas. I want to start setting up some podcasts. Paul D. I loved your presentation yesterday at our combined Ivanhoe/St Leonards conference, and as someone who has ‘already converted’ it was great to hear some of the sceptics also be impressed with your talk. Just a short note to thank you for last night, it was sensational. You have been a hot topic of discussion today (all good). Many of our staff are asking me, "when do we start?" It is great isn't when teachers can share their knowledge and understanding s to improve what happens in the classroom. Again great stuff!!!
Gary F Assistant Principal, The workshop was nothing short of FANTASTIC! Margaret F. ICT eLearning Project Officer, You are a dynamic and interesting teacher leading the way for the rest of us in the Pod Casting arena. Thank - you for your energy and your presentation last week. We are inspired! Dianne B. As a result of your conference presentation, we now have a Podcasting Program with students creating their own Podcasts. Teachers are also becoming more aware of this exciting tool and I am heading off to see our VCE Biology Teacher with your Podcasts ready for him! Apart from Podcasting, I am very grateful to you for mentioning MS SharePoint. Your presentation "planted the seed" and this year we have finally introduced the Scholaris Learning Gateway which runs on SharePoint. I can't help but think that if I hadn't have been fortunate enough to participate in your Knowledge Bank presentation, our school would not be involved in these two significant projects. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Lucy B. :) eLearning Curriculum Support I just wanted to say thanks again for last Wednesday. We really appreciated your time and enthusiasm in sharing with us, ideas and information that we may hopefully use to better our IT culture at Alexandra Secondary College. We all left ... feeling excited at what we had seen. John H Head of PE. Thank you very much for your contribution to the recent Hume Region’s eLearning Conference. Wilma W. eLearning Manager Thanks so much for such an inspiring and "good fun" workshop yesterday. I knew nothing about podcasting when I walked in and left wanting to start making a second podcast before the sun went down. Truly inspirational! Thankyou for the experience.
